My Engineering Workshop Equipment

My first purchase for my workshop was my desktop CNC 3040 which I purchased back in around 2014. I’ve used it for quite a few things such as engraving dog tags and making the odd sign. It’s main use has really been with prototyping Printed Circuit Boards.

Later the lathe was added to my collection. I purchased it around 2019 prior to the dreaded Covid hitting the world. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I didn’t get a chance to set it up or even open the crate until very recently. Fortunately everything was present and in good order.

I am still fine tuning the lathe and have a few upgrades planned such as DROs and an Electronic Lead Screw.

This year, having finally unpacked and installed the lathe, I was fortunate enough to obtain a Clarke CMD10 (Seig X1) Milling Machine from a good friend. I am currently in the process of cleaning / calibrating this machine to my liking.
